2026 TurF Teacher Training Program 

NOW LIVE FOR 2026 

 

 

The TurF Teacher Training Program is designed specifically for current teachers, personal trainers and health professionals who are interested in teaching in the TurF Studio.  This 4 week course goes through the foundation and principles of our TurF signature classes while fine tuning teaching skills, leadership capabilities, proper cuing and communication of the body and its functionality.

 

 

OCTOBER 31

FINAL DAY TO SUBMIT AUDITIONS

Training

Our training covers leadership and personal development work as well as cuing, alignment, class structure and many of the ingredients needed to create the special experience that happens in our studio.  

 

Teacher training will be led by

AUDITION + Pre-ReqS

 

 

Minimum 20 classes + 1 year teaching experience

 

OR

100 classes in the TurF studio

IF YOU ARE AUDITIONING FOR META 

Opening standing sequence for 1 minute 

 

This sequence should include a softer transition before going into the full movement (could be the side to side, or a squat sequence).

 

Should include cuing, musicality, show taste in music.  Sequence is taught to the beat of music.  

IF YOU ARE AUDITIONING FOR MAT WERK 

1 minute floor sequence (no props) that could be lower body, upper body or abs.

 

This sequence should include a softer transition before going into the full movement.

 

Sequence is taught to the beat of music.  

IF YOU ARE AUDITIONING FOR STRENGTHEN 

1 min standing sequence that would be an example of what you would sequence in a class.

 

Think about using compound movements.  This sequence should include a softer transition before going into the full movement.  

MANDATORY PRE-REQUISITES 

Minimum 20 classes + 1 year teaching experience

TOTAL COST for this TEACHER TRAINING 

Our program is designed as a break-even model meaning all costs go towards funding the teacher training directly. Including materials, facilitators, studio time and the cuing and alignment workshops.

$450 + gst 

Cancellation Policy of programming 

Once guests have enrolled and payment has been made all teachers are considered confirmed and no refunds will be made.

Teaching at TurF 

Going through the program is not a guarantee of getting on the studio schedule. Becoming a TurF Teacher will depend on each student's ability to absorb and implement feedback and the capacity to demonstrate the principles in the teacher training.

All applicants, whether accepted or not to this incoming Teacher Training for 2026, will hear back by November 14th, 2025. 

THE PROGRAM

 

PART 1

February: Module Training

(APPROX 19 HOURS + REQUIRES WEEKEND AVAILABILITY FOR ALL OF FEBRUARY)

 

PART 2

March: Practice Teaching 

(10 - 15 CLASSES)

 

PART 3

April: Co-teach and mentorship 

Attendees must be able to attend 100% of the module training in February without exception. Please ensure you are able to make all sessions before signing up.   All training will happen at TurF Kits, 2041 W.4th Ave in Vancouver, BC.
